Allida started her riding career as a working student for a hunter jumper barn in Orange County. She later started riding dressage as a working student for noted dressage rider and trainer Barbie Breen-Gurley (USET long listed, R judge, USDF Gold Medalist) where she had the opportunity to travel to international level competitions as Barbie's working student and groom.
In 1994 Allida traveled to Europe to further her dressage education and refine her skills. She earned her British Horse Society Assistant Instructors certification and was hired by Sandy Pfleuger, former Olympic event rider turned dressage trainer. Soon, Allida moved to Germany to work at Gronwohldhof as a groom for Karin Rhebein (German team World Cup Gold Medalist and individual Bronze Medalist) while riding and training horses at other local stud farms. Allida became accomplished enough to train with the beireiters at Gronwohldhof, riding internationally famous horses like Donnerhall and gaining more competition experience. She also had the opportunity to learn from some of the most respected clinicians in the world like Linda Zhang.
In 2002, Allida returned to the US to train and show for Paxton Farms in Florida and Ohio. There she began showing at the FEI levels for the first time since her return to America. In 2003 Allida decided to go into business for own, moving back to California to be near her family and settling in Santa Cruz.
Allida continues her education, regularly clinicing with Willie Arts. She has also cliniced with the late Dietrich Von Hopfgardner (former Chef D’Equipe of the German Olympic team who also trained Guenter Seidel and Sue Blinks) and Natalie Lamping (FEI “I” judge). Allida and her students are enjoying success in the show ring at all levels, from training level through FEI.
